Twist of Fate: The Role that Vanished Before I Started

In September 2023, I signed a lease for a private office, excited about the prospect of using this space. This enthusiasm stemmed from a recent job offer I received, which involved working remotely in Governance, Risk, Compliance using tools like Jira, NIST, and various other cybersecurity resources. Having worked from home for many years, I was looking forward to building in-person relationships in this new professional setting.

After many emails and calls with that office space company explaining them what happened, that I lost my job before I even started, that I am open to negotiate, that I never used the office, that I was being the best kind of customer by giving them notice to cancel before the lease even started, nothing happened. I was trapped.
